Buttermilk Chess Pie

Ingredients

2 cups sugar 4 tsp. cornmeal
1/2 cup butter,  melted 2 1/2 tbs.  flour
3 eggs, beaten 1 tbs. vanilla extract
1/2 cup buttermilk 1 pie shell, unbaked

 

Preparation

Beat eggs & add melted butter, buttermilk, & vanilla.   Sift together cornmeal, sugar, & flour.  Gradually add sugar mixture to egg mixture.  Mix well & pour into  unbaked pie shell.   Bake at  350 for  45 minutes or until lightly browned.
