Buttermilk Chess Pie
Ingredients
2 cups sugar | 4 tsp. cornmeal |
1/2 cup butter, melted | 2 1/2 tbs. flour |
3 eggs, beaten | 1 tbs. vanilla extract |
1/2 cup buttermilk | 1 pie shell, unbaked |
Preparation
Beat eggs & add melted butter, buttermilk,
& vanilla. Sift together cornmeal, sugar, & flour. Gradually add
sugar mixture to egg mixture. Mix well & pour into unbaked pie shell.
Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
