HoHo Chocolate Pudding


2 (4 oz.) pkg. chocolate pudding mix 2 c. heavy cream
1 env. unflavored gelatin 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 qt. milk 1 (8 3/4 oz.) pkg. individual marshmallow filled chocolate rolls (10 rolls).2 (1 oz.)sq. unsweetened chocolate
1 tsp. vanilla


  1. In large saucepan, thoroughly combine pudding mix and gelatin. Stir in milk until smooth; add chocolate.
  2. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook, stirring, until chocolate is melted and mixture is thick and smooth, about 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Pour into bowl. Refrigerate, covered, or set in ice and water, until pudding mixture is completely cold, about 1 hour.
  4. In small bowl, beat 1 cup cream until stiff. Beat in 1/4 cup sugar until blended.
  5. Cut each chocolate roll crosswise into 4 slices. Cover slices with damp paper towel.
  6. To assemble: With wire whisk or rubber scraper, fold whipped cream into chocolate pudding mixture.
  7. Pour 1 1/2 cups chocolate-cream mixture into chilled 3 quart glass serving bowl.
  8. Line bowl, from chocolate-cream layer to top, with rows of chocolate roll slices. Fill with remainder chocolate cream.meringue
  9. Refrigerate, covered, until well chilled, several hours or overnight.
  10. Before serving, beat remaining cup of cream with remaining sugar. Decorate top with swirls of whipped cream.
