Mississippi Mud Pie


1 Cup Powdered Sugar 1 cup Semisweet Chocolate Morsels
1/4 cup margarine, cut up 1/4 Cup Whipping Cream
2 TBS light corn syrup 1 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 cup chopped pecans 2 pints coffee ice cream, divided
Prepared chocolate crumb crust


  1. Combine sugar, chocolate morsels, margarine, cream, & syrup in a small pan
  2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth
  3. Stir in Vanilla & cool
  4. Put 1/3 of this sauce in the bottom of the crust
  5. Sprinkle with 1/3 of nuts
  6. Put 1 pint of ice cream over the nuts
  7. Freeze for 10 minutes
  8. Repeat layer
  9. Top with last 1/3 of sauce & nuts
  10. Freeze for at least 1 hour or until ready to serve
